WINES

<< BACK

The Bulgarian wine culture is one of the most ancient in Europe. Even in the Bronze period, in the IX century BC., the Thracians adored Dionysus, God of the Wine, the fertility and the entertainment, which is testified by the Dionysus temple described by Herodotus and found in our lands. The wine, according to the Iliad of Homer, that was drunk in front of the walls of Troy during the sieges, was the wine produced by the Thracians. The tradition in wine production is also very remote and has become a cultural phenomenon that still lives nowadays.
