Día 2: Sofia, Rila Monastery
Morning.- Sofia. Visit the National Museum of History, located in the ex-residence of the supreme leader of the communist party. Enjoy the expositions, and particularly the collections of golden objects from the Thracian art, recognized as the most important of its kind worldwide.
Afternoon.- Departure to the Rila Monastery, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit to the biggest and most outstanding Bulgarian monastery, with architecture from the 10th century, precious natural environment and enormous cultural and artistic richness expressed through the frescos, carvings in wood, iconostases, liturgical objects, silver work, weapons, relics which played a role through the centuries for the preservation of the national culture and spirit.
Night.-Overnight in Sofia.
